It's finally 1 year after I first uploaded my third ever pony picture on here. So to sort of celebrate, I've been re-making or re-mastering the first 4 pictures I uploaded on here excluding the Derpy filly pic.
Third, here's Twilight Sparkle.
More to come when the date arises
For a comparison between the new and old one, here's a picture I added to my scrapbook with the 2 next to each other:
Looking at the two, I can see how much your technique has changed. First off, your lines are a lot more concise and flowing - it's a minimalist technique that is actually necessary for animations such as this show and I think you've puled it off quite well. Secondly, your shading is actually two toned, but still soft enough to barely be visible from afar. The lighter tones only stand out if you know where to look and the darker tones fill in all the right places - notably NOT the hair which isn't a solid thing and doesn't follow all the same rules. Finally, the little sparkles all over seem more transparent the closer to the edge they are, which aids in focusing your attention subconsciously towards the center of the image. I'm not sure if that was intentional, but hey it's there and it's brilliant.
And I had to take points off for vision and originality, since this is an image from a tv show and a remake of an earlier work.
